Senior Curators

Duties

The primary function of the Senior Curators is to moderate the content of CAZypedia. Some specific duties of the Senior Curators are to:

  • identify new Page Curators and contributing authors based upon expertise in the research field,
  • oversee the inclusion of new topics or major sections in CAZypedia,
  • manage copyright issues, including granting permission to use material from CAZypedia,
  • arbitrate factual disputes involving content contributed by authors/editors.

The Board of Curators will serve as the ultimate authority regarding the form, content, and scope of CAZypedia and reserves the right to exert final editorial control over all contributions.

Associate Curators

CAZypedia relies upon a number of select Associate Curators to provide expert editorial oversight for each page entry. Together with the Senior Curators, the Associate Curators comprise a team of Responsible Curators, who act as primary contact points for any questions or comments on specific pages. These persons are responsible for selecting Authors on a page-by-page basis and reviewing author contributions. The name of the Responsible Curator (Associate or Senior Curator) is listed in the header of each page.
