Seino Jongkees completed a B.Sc in chemistry and biochemistry and a B.A. in philosophy from Otago University in Dunedin, New Zealand, and subsequently moved to Vancouver, Canada, to obtain a Ph.D. in chemistry with [[User:Steve Withers|Stephen Withers]]. Seino Jongkees completed a B.Sc in chemistry and biochemistry and a B.A. in philosophy from Otago University in Dunedin, New Zealand, and subsequently moved to Vancouver, Canada, to obtain a Ph.D. in chemistry with Stephen Withers. His doctoral work focused on mechanistic studies of unsaturated glucuronyl hydrolases of family GH88.[1, 2, 3] He is currently carrying out post-doctoral research at Tokyo University in the laboratory of Hiroaki Suga.
