Antonielle completed her PhD in 2018 at the University of Brasília (UnB), with a research secondment at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU). She has worked as a scientific collaborator at EMBRAPA (Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation), at Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), at Ghent University (UGent), and at the Center for Plant Biotechnology and Genomics (CBGP).
