I have an interest in the structural biology of carbohydrate active enzymes. After completing my PhD I worked for Prof. Harry Gilbert at the University of Newcastle and then Prof. Gideon Davies at the University of York. I initially worked on the structural analysis of carbohydrate active enzymes involved in the dissimulation of plant material including  Xylanases  (GH10), Arabinofuranosideases (GH51),  Acetyl xylan esterases (CE4),  Lichenases (GH26) and Arabinanases (GH43). More recently I have gained an interest in the mechanisms bacteriophage use to cross cell barriers (PL16, GH25).

I have an interest in the structural biology of carbohydrate active enzymes. After completing my PhD I worked for Prof. ^^^Harry Gilbert^^^ at the University of Newcastle and then Prof. ^^^Gideon Davies^^^ at the University of York.
