Vivian L. Y. Yip received her undergraduate and graduate training at the University of British Columbia (B.Sc., 2002; Ph.D. with Dr. Stephen G. Withers, 2007). Her graduate work focused on the mechanistic elucidation of glycosidases. She was funded by NSERC and the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research during this time. She is also the recipient of the CCUCC Chemistry Doctoral Award.
