Welcome to CAZypedia, the encyclopedia of Carbohydrate-Active enZymes
CAZypedia was initiated in 2007, based upon an idea of Professor Bruce Stone, LaTrobe University, Australia, to produce a comprehensive encyclopedia of the enzymes that synthesize and degrade carbohydrates. CAZypedia is inspired by, and closely connected with, the CAZy Database maintained by Bernard Henrissat, Pedro Coutinho and collegues.
