Sounds good - I suggest looking at Proteopedia as a good example.  I'm not convinced about wireframe, since this obscures the fold.  Might be better with a combo of cartoon (or ribbon, etc.) and ligands/heteroatoms in ball & stick, lines, etc.

Note that, for technical reasons, I have disabled direct loading of the PDB file via and external URL.  This requires using the signed version of the java applet.  Since the applet still bears the original signature from the jmol site, this forces the user to answer a pop-up, which is not ideal.  The current config requires only that you upload the PDB file to CAZypedia and call that from Jmol.  This keeps everything internal.

Jmol

Would like to get Jmol to the point where you can simply paste the code in, along with the pdb code, choose the page location and "voila". I think the default should be:

  • wireframe
  • buttons to toggle to other views/styles
  • slow rotate
  • a button to toggle rotate on and off
