Mirko Maksimainen is a reseacher and a PhD student in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Eastern Finland. Under the under the supervision of prof. Juha Rouvinen, he works on β-galactosidases from families GH35 and GH42. He has determinated the crystal structure of β-galactosidase from Trichoderma reesei.
