Mirko Maksimainen obtained a MSc in Organic chemistry from the University of Joensuu in 2008, Currently, he is a reseacher and a PhD student in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Eastern Finland. Under the supervision of prof. ^^^Juha Rouvinen^^^, he works on β-galactosidases from families GH35 and GH42. He has determinated the crystal structure of GH35 β-galactosidase fromTrichoderma reesei [1]
